Sourced from the 18-acre Henry David Vineyard in Sonoma County’s Bennett Valley appellation, this small planting of Aligoté, less than one acre, is known to be perhaps only the third after Josh Jensen’s Mt. Harlan Vineyard.
Starbright, canary-yellow tones on this vintage of Aligoté. The aromas are subtle and elegant, reminiscent of pears, and dried apples, and with an abundance of mineral notes. A faint touch of white flowers, in the form of lilies, and a carnation-like perfume. On the palate, the wine demonstrates a great level of restraint and freshness. The dried apple and pear notes are consistent throughout, with the acidity not far behind. A seamless wine with youthful energy and a vibrancy of flavors, which assure a delightful finish.
