Our Champagne is sourced from vineyards located in the village of Vertus in the southern part of the Cote des Blancs, famous for the high quality of its Chardonnay grapes due in great part to the high content of chalk in the soils.
The base vintage for this wine is 2018 but, the Reserve batch is comprised of wines from the 2015, 2016 and 2017 vintages. The Dosage was kept to a minimum of 6 grams per liter, which aligns with our love for wines with high acidity, typical of our beloved West Sonoma Coast.
This 100% Chardonnay, a true Brut Champagne, signifies not only Ernest Vineyards’ ethos but also a beautifully crafted testament to our collaborative spirit and pursuit of excellence in winemaking. Our Blanc de Blancs delivers precise yet subtle aromas of green apples and minerals with a touch of brioche. This subtlety continues to the palate, which delivers a very bright and refreshing sensation alongside secondary flavors of unripe peaches and nectarines. This Champagne exudes charm and elegance all while honoring the fine balance between fruit, acidity, minerality, and effervescence.
